CIBN CONSULT was formally registered as a business name by the Corporate Affairs Commission on 30 October, 2001. It is an all purpose consultancy outfit created to address the increasing demand for high quality consulting services permeating all spectrum of the Nigerian economy.The activities of the consult are managed by the Consultancy Department of the Institute.
Objectives
The goal of the Consultancy Department is to provide qualitative and market-driven management and financial consulting services directed at creating value added in the businesses of financial institutions and other organisations.

External Relationship
The Institute through its Consultancy Department is a member of the Nigerian Association of Management Consultants (NAMCON). In addition, it is availed of the enormous resources of the Institute. Considering the level of expertise and skills possessed by the Institute nationwide, the well-spring of the Institute's manpower are tapped to cater for the economy's expanding consultancy needs.
Track Record / Achievements
Some of the major assignments, which have been executed by the Department include:
- Development of several human capital development programmes and organisation of specialised training programmes for banks and other financial institutions.
- Recruitment of the Managing Director/Chief Executive for a Merchant Bank.
- Conducting the Feasibility Study of the proposed Nigeria Construction Bank, being promoted by the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing and the National Construction Policy Council.
- Recruitment of Executive Secretary for West African Bankers Association (WABA).
- Recruitment of Management and Senior Staff for The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

- Retreat for Human Capital Managers of Banks and Other Financial Institutions, designed to facilitate an analysis of contemporary human capital issues in the financial services industry.
